Bike of the Month for May 2000
This bike never stood a chance. Designed by Phillipe Stark, a non-motorcyclist from France,
a lot of people didn't take the Moto 6.5 seriously. It's too bad. It's actually quite a
nice bike. Based on the excellent Pegaso, and emplying it's 650cc Rotax-built single, the
Moto makes a great commuter bike. The style is unique, but I think it's rather attractive.
And it's nce to see Aprilia try something new. There are too many me-too
cruisers/sportbikes/etc out there. This one stands out. That is a laudable goal for any
motorcycle. When it happens to be a really useful bike, too, that makes it special. Too bad
I'll never have a chance to buy one from Aprilia. They aren't sending it to America.
