Bike of the Month for September
Moto Guzzi's naked musclebike seemed a bit odd to me. In its original form,
the Centauro seemed a little too much of this, and not enough of that. It
just didn't fit anywhere. But this year, Guzzi has split the Centauro into
two bikes, the touring oriented GT, and the much more interesting Sport. The
monocolor paint scheme makes the bodywork over the engine more attractive,
and the big beefy brakes and tailsection give it a strong, purposeful look.
The 4-valve engine makes sense in this package, and it all falls together
very gracefully. This is the Centauro I want.
