Bike of the Month for April 2000

Midual 900 Roadster

Ah, the return of the Douglas fore and aft flat twin. And why not? It's as smooth as a BMW, but with the narrowness of a Sportster. But won't it be too long? Not if you tilt the back of the engine up to about 15° so you can fit the transmission underneath. Clever and simple. It's a new from the ground up motorcycle that should appeal to a broad range of riders. I have great hopes for this company. I admire anyone trying to make their own motorcycle, using original ideas and proprietary engines. This one should be in production soon. Let's hope so.
